Sure, that should work fine.

I only have vanilla greek yogurt – do you think this would work in place of plain?

I used 2 Tb. Powdered sugar + 2 Tb. Stevia/monkfruit blend. With 1 c. Whole milk greek yogurt + 1/4 c. Cocoa this was an absolutely perfect frosting. Beautiful creamy texture, beautiful tangy taste – I’ll use this any time I want a chocolate frosting. Thanks a million for posting!

Holy Crow this is yummy I can eat it with a spoon. I had vanilla Greek yogurt so that’s what I used. It sweet but still has the tang of the yogurt. I put this on the vanilla cake recipe ( although I did the cupcakes version) and it works very well. Someone posted that the likeness is more to pudding than to frosting and that is how mine turned out, however, I think it might be because I put in a 1/4 cup icing sugar vs. 1/3 and my icing sugar isn’t the most fresh, so that may be why it wasn’t as thick. That being said, it still did the trick! Very yummy!

This is a great recipe. I microwaved about 1 oz of semi sweet chocolate into it. Thanks for sharing.

That is best, or you can make them both ahead and refrigerate the frosting and frost right before serving.

I’m sorry to hear that. Does that type of sugar typically work the same in frostings? Powdered sugar helps thicken this up as I’ve made it.

It’s more like a pudding consistency than icing. The bitterness of the Greek yogurt still comes through and even added a little vanilla paste. Super bummed. My cupcakes are dressed and in the fridge I hope this doesn’t make them soggy.
